Government Funded for Remainder of FY2019
The President signed House Joint Resolution 31 into law last week, funding the entire government through September 30, 2019. The legislation includes the remaining seven appropriations bills: Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies; Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies; Financial Services and General Government; Homeland Security; Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies; State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs; and Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies. Of note, the bill maintains language directing the Environmental Protection Agency to continue the carbon neutral status of biomass used to produced energy. Supplemental funding for hurricane and forest fire recovery were not included in the omnibus appropriations bill.
