Introducing Lumber.Works - Recruitment Resources for Sawmills

SLMA has designed Lumber.Works as a recruitment tool for the lumber manufacturing industry. The website contains downloadable virtual videos (for Virtual Reality headsets, mobile phones or computer screens), printable handouts, listings of general sawmill career opportunities, and a map of SLMA sawmills with HR contact information. 

Mill recruiters were looking for some visual classroom aid - something with a "wow" factor. 

Potential recruits will be able to see virtual job sites and witness industry personnel in mill operations, maintenance and harvesting. The videos look great over mobile phones and computer screens, but VR headsets (Oculus brands can be purchased for around $300) allow for true immersion in the experience.
