SLMA Joins Letter in Support of Continued Stepped-Up Basis

The Family Business Estate Tax Coalition (FBETC), of which SLMA is a member, sent a letter in support of the continud stepped-up basis to Congress on Monday, as the stepped-up basis has been targeted by the Administration to increase federal government revenues. The letter also highlights and includes a study from EY illustrating the economic damage that step-up repeal via tax at death would inflict on family owned businesses.
