SLMA Supports DRIVE Safe Act in Senate Surface Transportation Bill

On Tuesday, June 15, SLMA joined with more than 120 organizations in sending a letter of support to the Senate Committee on Science, Technology, and Transportation requesting the DRIVE Safe Act be included in the Senate's surface transportation bill. The DRIVE Safe Act would allow commercial drivers 18-20 years old to drive trucks equipped with proper safety equipment across state lines if they complete an apprenticeship program.
